Confusion, Sweat and Adventure {I got my driver's license!!}

Yuppers, I finally got my driver's license a couple of weeks ago! I'm so happy.. I've been driving a bit on my own, listening to Young the Giant and cranking up the heat in the car to simulate summer. The freedom (nearly) makes up for my ugly driver's license picture. At least my driver's license is pink. Pink and glitter makes anything pretty.. maybe I should sprinkle some glitter on it? I wonder what the police would say then.. ;)

Oh, and I've only gotten lost once so far.. although the incident was quite embarrassing... I couldn't figure out how to drive to our local grocery store because there was some road work. I ended up at an apartment building's private parking spots and then had to drive really far to somehow drive around it and back. Let's just say it felt like summer then, cuz I was all sweaty when I finally arrived at the store. Oh well, what's life without a little confusion, sweat and adventure?

What's your sense of direction like?
What music do you listen to in the car? (I really need to burn a CD with all my gangstah music :D)
If you live in Norway, watch out, cuz I'll be cruising by ;)

Guess My Halloween Costume!

As usual, I wore a more "creative" outfit than what others would wear for Halloween - not really scary, and really silly. Like when I was a traffic light last year, remember? Let's just say, I had an "amazeballs" costume ;) I don't really like dressing up, but I don't mind wearing something that looks really silly! And if you were wondering, I was inspired by a pinterest picture (and no, it wasn't a kid wearing it...).

This year's costume had me laughing every time I looked in the mirror. And yes, I went to a Halloween party dressed like that. Not embarassing at all.

I had such a hard time walking around, let alone sitting in the car, since my upper body was COVERED in balloons! Yes, I wore my seatbelt. Haha, but I had a lot of fun!

Can you guess my halloween costume? :D I'll share some more pics later :) (follow me on instagram for daily pics: thegentleflower - leave your username and I'll follow back ;) )

I'm linking up over here and here :)

Have a SUPER weekend!
Katrine :)

Ps. Sorry I'm a bit behind on replying to comments. I assure you, I read them all and really appreciate them, and they will be replied to soon. We had our last classes for this semester this week, which marks the beginning of the exam period. So I'm a bit busy at the moment, but I will reply as soon as I can :) Thanks for being patient :)

Will You Help Me Find My Long Lost Friend?

source
I've got a little situation. It's quite the pickle (hahahahahahha) (I love laughing at my own jokes hahaha... ahhh I just crack me up sometimes!)

The website /  bait
So I've recently discovered Food Gawker!!! OH. MY. GOODNESS! I seriously had trouble leaving the site.. I want to make so much food. And it makes me oh-so hungry!

Anyway I'm so happy I came across the site (I know, I'm slow..) through Pinterest because there are lots of yummy-looking (I have yet to try them out) recipes that actually look EASY (BIG bonus) and QUICK!! The site has PICTURES of yummy food, so you don't have to browse through lots of words. Which is super!

That's right:
YUMMY + NEW + QUICK + PRETTY + EASY = MUST BE THE BEST FOOD IN THE WORLD (except my Mamma's Spaghetti Bolognese of course ;) )

The recipe

So I found a recipe, Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese, that I've been planning to make tomorrow for my family. And I've been planning this since I found the recipe last Sunday. I'm aching to try it out!

The problem
But I have a HUGE problem.

Meet my long lost friend.

source
I can't find jalapeños ANYWHERE! I went to all the grocery stores I could think of today. I found jalapeños at ONE store though.. but they were rotten. EW. Barf.

The solution!?
I guess I could try making it with chilis instead.. but jalapeños are sooo juicy and delicious and yuuum.
And I really wanted to try out the recipe, and make it perfect!

I know most of my readers aren't in Norway. But if you do know where I can get some jalapeños in Trondheim, let me know! Please???

And if you have any other suggestions for what I could use instead, let me know!
Do you think it would be any good if the jalapeños are pickled??
I need all the help I can get! Please.

I can't not make them either.. I've already bought two whole big breads!!! I'm ready for action... where are you my jalapeño?? (I know, I'm going to eat you, but still, I wish you'd come out to "play" ;) )

Please share some of your favorite (and easy and quick and yum) recipes in the comments as well, will ya? :)

xo Katrine

Ps. REMEMBER TO COME BACK TOMORROW for the BLOG HOP kick-off all about MOVIES!! :D I'm super excited. And I'll let you know how the Jalapeño situation turns out later.... :'(
